Could I upgrade 2x5 to a 3x5... but have it on a grid stand?

I understand people climb into cages that are 3 grids wide to clean them, but thought I could have both long sides away from the wall, so I could go around the whole cage to clean... ?

You can do whatever you want, that’s the beauty of c&c grids! I had a 4x3 on a stand but didn’t have the space for it to be away from the walls, and it was a bit of a stretch to clean from one side. You should cope with it okay.

Brilliant that's good to hear. Did your stand use tons of grids? I often make a stand with less grids that I see in pictures, as it seems to do the job. I haven't got loads of them left. Gorgeous piggy in your avatar BTW.

My c and c cages are off the floor on tables. I just bought old dining tables of EBay.

Thanks, since we moved the cage had been on a nice, craft, trestle table but it was too high for my son to reach in and pat them and so he's not been interacting with them. Have had then on the floor for a few days but think will return to grid stands. I find tables are better to keep clean under, I'd like low coffee tables but better not to spend £100 on that when I have grids and I'll probably change my mind anyway!

It did use quite a few grids - and you need to put some in the middle to support the base otherwise any undue pressure could cause it to collapse. I did leave a couple of gaps in the outer wall of the base and put storage baskets underneath. Thanks for noticing my avatar Jack, he was the most gentle, laid back pig I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I had to have him pts just coming up to a year ago due to problematic dental issues. I do miss him.

Jack looks really gentle in the photo. What a beauty. Sorry you lost him, I also had to pts my dental boar last year. The avatar is a nice memorial to him.
Well I'll enjoy my Sunday cage rebuilding, thanks for info.
