Today I adopted 3 elderly guinea pigs :love:
I saw a post a few days ago about a trio of elderly guinea pigs who were desperately looking for a home. The guinea pigs had come into the rescue last weekend after being abandoned on a balcony in a hutch. The piggies are all girls and are sisters, they have been together their whole life so the rescue really wanted them to go together. They are about 5 years old.
 
The rescue hadn't named them and their previous owners said they had never bothered giving them names :(
I named them, Maddie (Left) Charity (Middle) & Rebecca (Right) :))
 
Charity has a very droopy eye and Rebecca has a slightly droopy eye but they have both been checked by a vet and the vet said it's absolutely fine :D
 
Are these the 3 you are planning to introduce to your herd of 7? Please adopt strict quarantine as they haven’t yet had 2weeks observation if they were brought into the rescue last weekend. As I said in a previous thread (deleted at your request) I wouldn’t recommend introducing 3 elderly sows to your herd of 7.have you made other arrangements for them?

I have introduced them to the Herd and they are all now happily living together as a herd of 10 piggies :D They are settling in extremely well :))

Oh my goodness... i had to look twice at Maddie - i thought you had pignappped my little Orca :yikes: she's about 5 &a half too! :drool::love:

Oh & the droopy eyes could be pea eye/fatty eye which is usually considered harmless :) great that the vets checked them all over for a clean bill of health too though :wub:
