Hey guys!
I’ve got three 3 male guinea pigs. All under a year old. I haven’t had any fights yet, but I am prepared if one were to break out. They have lots of space and if anything where to happen I have two other cages. They also have multiples of everything. Just wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has a trio of boars, and if they have any tips or tricks to keep everyone happy!
Thanks!

Thank you! I'm pretty sure they are Abyssinian guinea pigs. They are all awesome! I love my boys :)

Hi there! I have a trio of boars who are now past 14 months so I'm starting to breathe a sigh and relax that it looks like they've bucked the odds and made it through their teenage years still friends. (Most of the time).
The best advice I can give is space, multiple bowls, water and hay, and calm. If they do have a bit of a tiff, don't get freaked. I have had a few scares, and on a couple of occasions I really thought Groucho and Chicco were going to go at it, but I intervened quickly, put a divider in until they calmed down and it all worked out ok.
One of your boys will probably be an outsider, so make sure your cage allows for this, so that he doesn't get bullied (Groucho's my outsider, but they all eat together and he cries if he's taken away, for nail clipping, or if I move the others to the garden first, so I know he wants to be with them)
Also, one of my piggies, Little Dude is, as his name suggests, totally laid back, (he'd be a surfer if he was human) and although he spends most of his time with Chicco, he goes off exploring with Groucho. Chicco's a coward when it comes to stairs and suchlike but he goes around rumblestrutting and starting chin offs all the time - Little Dude just ignores him, but Groucho sometimes reacts. (Little Dude actually yawned in Chicco's face once when he tried to start a chin off when the Dude was in his hammock. Not an aggressive yawn, but a real 'yeah man, whatever', type of thing).
That's my boys in my avatars, from left to right, Little Dude, Chicco and Groucho.
