Hi guys,

as some of you know i have two brother boars around 5-6 months old.

I have such a great bond with one, can cuddle him for hours.

the other one i can barely catch, I just don't understand what am i doing wrong?
He wont stay a second still in my hands!
i just feel like i am failed to bond with him and because of it share more love, with the one who wants love.

how can i change this? do i give him extra love, and pick him up as often as i can? or let him be and wait till he comes around?

to be honest i feel extremely guilty for feeling this way :(

Don't it's natural I have 6 piggies, unfortunately each pig is different and some are more timid than other's. Some never truly come round, 2 of my piggies hate humans and yet the other 4 love attention on their term. It's down to the individual piggies! x

My pigs are quite difficult to pick up from their cage and they are 2. Once they are out they are fine though, they sit nice and still.
If I was you I would keep trying, you never know he might come around eventually.

2 of my girls are like this. I have had Charlotte 3 and a half years and she lets me put my hand in and stroke her and she gives me kisses but Lexi who I have had 2 and a half years runs away the second I open the door. When I finally do catch her she is always desperate to get back in her house to her sister. It is obvious that she doesn't want to be held. Although Lexi doesn't like to be held, she likes it when I sing, responds to her name and takes food from my hands, she just wants to stay in her house.

Out of all 7 of my girls Francesca is the only other one who doesn't want to be held but that is because she wants to be exploring. She is only 9 months old and just wants to be off across the floor, meeting the neighbours, getting in the hay bag etc.

All piggies are different, some are more skittish than others and take more time to get used to you.

Hi
I have two piggies, shadow loves to be held, have his chin tickled etc... but his brother Ratty is like your boar, he would rather run off and hide under a cushion.. so i wrap Ratty loosely in a fleece blanket and snuggle him into my arm, which he loves, he chatters away and stretches out, when i unwrap him and try to sit him on my knee or just beside me, he runs of trying to hide.. all piggies are different thats what makes them so lovely :(|)

I have had my Sandy Pig for over two years now and he still runs away like I am going to eat him when I come in the room! Pigs are like people and some are more shy than others ;)
