I could take my guinea pig in for 4 h but I do not want him to get stressed out . should I bring him in or not? I f I do is there a way I can keep him calm?:)

Wait a minute, did you guys join the 4-H guinea pig club in Boone county? We have been members since February. I bring all 5 of ours every month and they have never gotten sick. It’s a cute club.

Please can you add your country and state to your profile as this post means nothing to me as a UK member.

Unfortunately you cannot control how well other members look after their piggies or who they bring to a meet. If someone's piggy was infected with fungal spores (might not have any symptoms initially) and your piggy is in the same air space as them then yes they could get a fungal infection as a result. The risk may be very minimal but you can't wipe it out completely, in the same way that you can't rule out passing fungal on to your piggies by visiting a place, picking up spores and then passing them on when you have cuddles with them.

We haven't been there yet, but we will go in August. Yes the one in Boone county 😊. We missed the July meeting due to vacation.

We will be on vacation for the August meeting, but I guess we will see you in September

Howdoes it work? One of my boys gets a little snippy. I would hate for him to bite.
Most of the time the kids just have their guinea pigs on the table in front of them or in their lap unless we have an activity for them. Even then the guinea pigs are kept separate to prevent fighting or mating! If your afraid he will bite people, you can just ask that he not be petted. Here are a few pictures from our meetings. We visited a nursing home for a service project

Awesome! He doesn't usually bite people, but for some reason when they are out for lap time Finn will try to bite Chewy if they are too close together. I think his hormones are spiking. He is around 6 or 8 months old.
