5 Male Guinea Pigs ?

my nans guinea pigs died yesterday ( rip) and his buddy was left on his own. He is a male and she didn't want to neuter him so she went to get him 1 friend from a pet shop. She got there and they're was 4 males in and awful state so she took them all home! They all get on well at the moment but one was a rescue so the ages are one is 1 year old, one is 2 years old, and 3 of them are 8 weeks old. As they grow up will they fight ? I suggested to her they keep them in a pair and a trio but she didn't want to. What do you suggest?

I think you have to put them in pairs, there is probably a thread & boars & how there are kept. Let her see it. Lol
 
Forgot to say once they get hormonal she will have sorts of trouble. It's a shame she didn't call the RSPCA, they are only get more & treat them equally bad
 
I'm really sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but this sounds like a real problem waiting to happen. 5 males together will almost inevitably fight and there is a real risk of serious injury. I have no idea what accommodation she may have already but she will need space for at least one pair in a cage/ hutch and another cage/hutch for a trio with potential to split them if they fight.
I am sure she meant well taking all 4 but is she able to care for them all and to provide accommodation for them all?
 
Hi, I have managed to convince her, for the guinea pigs sakes to put them into 2 pairs. She put one with her lone Piggie and kept 2 as a pair and I took the other and I'm going to put him in a split cage with my boys but they can't meet. Hopefully for all the piggies sakes we have made the right decision.

Pairs, fighting will occur at some point I think.
