Hi lovely people
Rather worried about my boy Cocoa, a 3 or 4 year old crested boar rescue. Had him and Fudge since October last year, they have always tracked around 1.3/1.4 kg weekly. But from last week weighing 1.443kg he is down this week to 1.395kg. Do I need to get him to the vet? He has been eating and drinking as normal, unlimited hay, veg and pellets twice daily, his teeth and gums are fine, no fighting with Fudge over food, eyes and coat glossy. Any advice? Thanks all x

How hot has it been in recent days where you are? A touch of heat exhaustion can impact on the appetite/gut movement.
Hot Weather Management, Heat Strokes and Fly Strike

Please switch from weighing once weekly to weighing daily at the same time in order to eliminate the weight swings over the course of 24 hours as much as possible. See whether the downward swing continues or whether the weight is stable again and was due to the weather.
See a vet if the weight continues to fall gradually.
