PopcornPigs
Adult Guinea Pig
*LONG POST*
Ok so this was a fairly quick occurrence, and I have been waiting to tell you.
Basically as you may/may not know I'm studying towards a degree in Animal Management, therefore I'm at a college where there is an animal care unit.
Recently I couldn't hand in an assignment as I was very sick with a migraine, therefore as it's strict I had to get a doctors note etc but then I was told the 'mitigating circumstances board' weren't holding another meeting for this year so my assignment could be capped at 40%. Anyway, the degree manager (also ACU manager) told me she'd contact them to see if they would consider holding a meeting for me. So I rang her a couple days ago to see if there was any progress (there wasn't) then we started chatting and I jokily asked if she had any single older female guinea pigs. And she said she didn't have a single older female, but a young female which had been rejected from one of the herds she was finding a friend for. At the ACU the guineas are kept in herds if they're girls and in pairs if they're boys, but this one had been in a little fight but was fine now just waiting for a chum.
I gave into temptation :red
She was happy to see her go to a good home and I'm sure her and Doris will be great friends. College don't usually give away their animals but I was there at the right time I suppose :{
Meet my new piggy...
Name suggestions very welcome! However my mum has requested it be a 'human name' .. I don't know why I'm listening to her though as she said the new pig was 'funny looking!' Hmph!
