This is a little bit stupid, but do your pigs favour one water bottle over the other? It's not so much the bottle but sides. They only seem to drink from the the left hand side. Maybe they're left pawd?
 
Our main pen has two bottles and they will drink one dry first before going to the other one.
 
I had three in for my trio earlier in the year but they would fall out over 2 of them and leave one alone even though they were all the same? in the end I needed another bottle for a different group so I just took one away as two seemed plenty for 3 of them. since then they don't fall out as much, I wonder if they took dislike to the third bottle and panicked incase they ended up with it? It was a normal bottle the same as the others!
 
I am glad someone else has this too. The right water bottle is preferred at our house and an orderly pig queue will form behind it as opposed to somepig going down the other end to use the left one.....
 
I thought it was just mine being weird. I've moved them all around the cage and they still prefer one to the other. Strange piggies.
 
mine must be right paw'd as they empty the right hand one first
 
My pigs totally ignore one of the bottles and always use the upstairs one in their bedroom!
 
I had two water bottles. One upstairs which got ignored and the big one which they all use now.
Rambo however prefer to drink and attempt to pull it down and pull it into the corridor! She's such a sod sometimes!
