Laptime with Vimto and no bitten finger! No blood! She got a bit restless after 4 mins but that'll do, early days but its a start. Perhaps my furry girl does like me after all :)

I think you just didn't give her long enough :)).

Just kidding Lee that's great new's. I do also think younger pig's like to bite on occasions. My Pebbles gives me several warnings, thankfully she doesn't think drawing blood is a good idea phew..

:)) You know thats what I thought it was like a hot potato, right she hasn't bit me, lets put this down to a success :))

That is great. She is starting to trust you.

Thanks Gigi, she is a lot less nervous and her pigsonality is starting to show. She has the biggest furry belly when standing at the bars lol

Great news about Vimto. Its times like that when a piggie makes progress that makes you feel like your doing something right dosnt it. Not had any piggies that bite thankfully but i once had a pair of rats from the rspca (my last pair actually) that were big biters...would bite loads. Had to wear gardening gloves to pick them up...and clean them out. But as time with them passed ...slowly they mellowed and towards the end didnt need to wear gloves. (they were my only rats i have had that bit me...and have to say thy came as a shock to the system)...but its those steps that really makes you feel...yes i must be doing somthing right..hehe..anyway enough rambling from me. Great news!

Thats great news! I too am making progress with my girls, brought them home nearly 2 weeks ago now, and last night I had my first cuddle with Violet, only for a few mins but she settled nicely and even ate some coriander - I was so pleased! My other girl Primrose, is much more nervous so she is going to take a lot of time and patience, but I hope eventually to be able to have cuddles with her too. These gradual improvements are so rewarding :D

my two new girls are now eating out of my hand through the bars of the cage Absolutely buzzing Still dont like being picked up but because they are long haired have no choice have to check their coats for matts They are now in c&c so hopefully will come on in leaps and bounds Dont think they can believe the space

Good news, you might even get her to the stage Cosmos our abby is at. When I give her a snuggle she will lick my lips before suddenly darting up and licking up my nostrils, usually the left one.

Brilliant news, glad she is coming on well. Sometimes it just takes time and it is great, it really shows she is starting to trust you.
Hopefully she continues to eat her veggies and not your fingers :)

Wonderful news. Mine all hate me today after I had to chase them round the room to do their meds. They never play their Dad up just me.

Having a C&C has helped our girls so much, you can access them eaiser and having them in the front room with us got them more used to us than our first piggies ever were.

I will never let Vimto near my face :)) It would be like unmasking hannibal Lector and asking for a peck on the cheek - folly

:)) keeps you young Helen!

Taken me 6 months with some rescue abbyruvians, one had fungal and had to be treat weekly for a couple of months but he has turned into the most loving guinea pig and his brother is starting to come round, now comes and sits on my foot to be picked up, he did used to bite :)) Its great when they come round though and that trust begins with you :)

Yay, so glad she is settling down. Some piggies are never super cuddly but at least she is happier to be around you. Paws (and unbitten fingers) crossed that it continues to improve!

Hello - my first post! Well done on getting this far, persevere. Last night, one of my GPs, Wheatley, fell asleep in with his head in the crook of my arm last night - and I realised the noises he makes and the way he pushes me with his nose is affection not hate haha. Onwards and upwards!
