As Christmas is coming I wondered whether people get their piggies a Christmas present or a little stocking for Christmas Day?
I personally do and when I put my decs up a give them a little stocking outside their cage and wrap their presents up for Christmas morning.
Maybe I’m a bit ott but I do the same with my cat as their all part of the family.
Do any of you’s do the same? and if so what have your got your little fur balls?

It'll be my two boys' first christmas with us (they're rescues) and so I've gone a little bit mad with everything! The pigs have got their own christmas tree in their room which will be put up and decorated 12 days before Christmas.
I've got them more presents between the two of them (all wrapped already) than I have for every member of my family and the in-laws combined! :yikes:

Crazy, Christmas-y pig lady here! :san:

They have had some new cage liners delivered this week as well as some hay bags. I’m guessing that could be an early Christmas pressie

Mine will have excess veg too! I have 11 here for Christmas Day so that is a lot of veg I'll be preparing Christmas Eve:yikes::yikes:.

Mine usually get something new to destroy, like a carrot cottage. I also save a paper bag for Brunel to have on the day as he especially loves hiding in them.

They'll also get extra vege from the Christmas dinner preparations.

I suspect they'd be happier if Christmas didn't happen as their daily/weekly routine will be completely thrown as my alarm will definitely not be going off at 6:30am for the week and they'll be getting 'late' breakfasts.

You'll get a good telling off for that then. I expect you'll still get up if you hear the wheeking for their breakfast! I'll be up bright and early as the turkey has to go in the oven at around 6.30 am!:woot:

I don't usually give the pets Christmas presents but this year mine have got hay cubes (like carrot cottages but square). I needed to make up the cost of an online order to get free postage, so I thought I'd keep them for Christmas. That's my excuse anyway! :D

I’m absolutely loving hearing what everyone’s doing for their piggies! , I’m still yet to finish off the piggies xmas shopping as I may have gave on of their prezzies already because they were being extra good. My favourite thing I bought them was this really cute Christmas tree honey stick thing that hangs in there cage so they can give it a good nibble

Mine will have new beds for Christmas and I am making a Christmas themed cage liner for them. They already have some wooden decs on the outside of their cage (which they cant reach). Will be giving them some treats too.

Love giving presents to my pets!

:yikes: That's very early for turkey cooking. Can't you leave it in the oven overnight and set the oven timer to come on in the morning?

I'm lucky in that my husband is only cooking for the two of us this year so he won't be starting that early.

I do need to be up the local church tower to ring the bells at 8:30am - but that's almost a civilised time to be awake.:D

I could but as I have a gas oven I don't like to leave the gas on overnight and the oven not alight - just in case. My OH gets up with me too as the turkey is too heavy for me to put in the oven safely.

How lovely to ring in Christmas Morning!:)

My pets do get little bags under the tree... usually favorite foods. Christmas is for pigs and hammies too! ;)

Oh yes, I get so excited getting them things for Christmas.I wrap them too in the hopes they’ll unwrap them as they seem to love chewing paper lol.I use a stocking only if the presents fit in it.
