Hi
This is my first post and I hope I am on the right part of the forum.
18 months ago I got 2 guinea pigs from the RSPCA - Ginger and Snowy. They were estimated to be 2-3 years old. I rapidly fell totally in love with them both so it broke my heart a few days ago when Snowy had to be put to sleep. He had lost all energy, wouldn't eat or drink and despite several visits to the Vet, he was deteriorating terribly. It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but I felt it was the right thing to do.
My problem now is Ginger. He looks so lonely, despite plenty of cuddles. He lives indoors so gets lots of attention but I feel he is missing GP company.
Due to his age (4-5 years ) I don't know whether introducing another piggy would be possible, or whether maybe having another elderly, lone piggy in an adjoining cage might be an option. I would welcome any suggestions anyone might have. Rachel and Ginger x
