It really amazes me how people are so cruel and irresponsible there is nothing I can say that hasn't been said already on the forum by another member, well at least they have found the rescue and hopefully will go on to have a wonderful life. Thankyou rescuers for all your hard work I can appreciate how much time and effort goes into making sure not only that these piggies are fed but also clean and cuddled.

Awwwww goodness :( So many beautiful piggies, its such a shame there is so many unwanted pets and animals out there, i hope they all recover soon and find loving forever homes, which I'm sure they will :) xxxxxxx

What lovely piggies and thank god they're with you now :...
Are they all from one 'owner' ? How can people allow them to get into the sorry state they do - ignorance or stupidity grrrr
I can allow for the cases where people who genuinely struggle to care for them before surrendering but blatant neglect...
Do you rely on donations to fund for their care ? Would like to send something to you for the brilliant work (and all the others :red) you do :)p

I love thistles x) x) is bubbles a boar or sow? awww i want thistle!

poor piggies least they with you now

i just went back through all guinea pigs that have came into me in last few months and it really is discusting how they are so easy for people to throw away and this is just guinea pigs not the rabbits or other small animals, now I'm not a rescue just like to help but its just wrong how people treat animals,
i pay for food myself every now and then some one who gets a guinea pig will offer to cover food, but i dont ask normally as i just want them to be homed, they are from all different people some just couldnt cope with them others just used them for breeding, i have homes a lot several to people one here, 3 ex breeding females and two young boys to really nice man near me
, the group of boys went to my sister in london and she is rehoming down there as i didnt have room (one is really bad and may have to be put to sleep as his eye is bad)

Leanne, I think it's time you stopped pretending that you are not a rescue - you most certainly are and doing a great job!

Part-time, full-time, it doesn't matter - you are making an enormous difference to these poor piggies. I just wish I were closer to be able to help you with the numbers. I am always at the end of the phone should you need any advice or are overwhelmed by the numbers - we can get a piggy train in motion when needed.

You are a truly amazing person for doing what you do x>>
Costs me a fortune feeding my six piggies a week, basically I work to keep them happy :{
It's comforting to know that all the animals you take in will have prosperous futures ahead - thank you xx>>>

they didnt even no what grass was when i got them

I know what you mean, I have just been 'given' one as the lady couldn't cope with his grooming and I don't think he knew what grass was either - or veg. Its just soooo wrong.

Well done for taking these.

Wow, well done leanne. Where are you by the way? I can't believe people can be so rubbish as to let things get so out of control.

I just love Sheep - he is an amazing little lad. Your boys and girls all look lovely and I'm sure with a bit of TLC they'll find some lovely homes.

Couldn't agree more. We have transport and would help out if needed, distance is of no real concern to us.

I am in west yorkshire, most have found good homes and some will be staying like aslan and bernard and few others as my son loves them, I'm just in process of getting new cages as some of my temp ones and indoor ones need updating, i think people should just think a bit longer before they get a animal and there might be few less that need new homes

It is so sad to see all those piggies coming in in such a bad state or pregnant mums/unwanted babies - all due to ingorance and lack of research/care when getting them!

Guinea pigs have become such an easily available commodity that is being churned out to the max in order to make some "easy" money without care or education for whoever they go to.

I am so sorry about Bubbles; those piggies that lose their lives or are damaged forever just make me sooo angry!

PS: I have to agree - you are a de facto rescue and are doing a great job!

i didnt put pictures of all the babies there was around 23 babies from 7 sows all from one persons stupidity and was 5 that died this was due to mums not being looked after during pregnancy and babies was developed, and i lost one mum who was to old to carry babies its sad when this happens thats why it is nice when the others are rehomed to good homes, then something good comes from it

You do a fantastic job! That's a lot of piggies to take in from people who don't want them anymore... poor little critters! They're all very cute and I hope that they will all find their forever homes very soon so you can keep doing what you're doing.

All these rescues in Yorkshire will have a partner on the other side of the Pennines by this time next year; I want to start doing it here in Lancashire, as there are none in my area!

Keep it up! All these piggies are very lucky to have you! :)

Hi new here

Hi everyone. Ive just read a few of the posts on here and i think these rescues do a fantastic job. I think you are brilliant. Ive started doing volunteer fostering for a local rescue, i just give some piggies a little more extra attension. Ive taken 3 on from a rescue and i fell in love and gave them a forever home. I have also taken 2 on were the owners have baught a dog/puppy then cant keep the guinea pig. My last 2 came yesterday. Bless them : )

Hello and welcome :)p
Are the piggies in your avatar your rescues ? I absolutely x) Himi's.
Well done for volunteering too, we do our bit when work allows and really enjoy it - keeps us busy with six piggies to look after as well. Not brave enough to foster yet :(|)

That picture of Mums and babies in the sun is terrific. Well done to you Leanne for looking after all those piggies.:rose

I'm sorry...This made me cry. As the lost went on and I saw all these little sweeties...No longer wanted...I couldn't help it. 8...

And the condition that some of them came to you in...

It breaks my heart. 8...
