I browsed through a sticky thread here on it, but I just wanted a few updated questions answered.

Living in Dundee, I don't know any local places that may sell it. P@H or anywhere else maybe? I followed a link to The Hay Experts website - https://www.thehayexperts.co.uk/index.php?osCsid=03ga18i3t05oidq64g7v4om110 - and thought that it was a very good price for 14kg when I pay more than that for less hay!

Now...before I sign up to the site....I would like to know if anyone knows how much postage and packaging may cost me on top of this? To see if it's really worth it.

I want to find another, cheap method to prevent using so much hay on the base of their cage. Also for extra absorbancy. I've heard so many good things about it but I want to make doubley sure before going and buying the stuff :)

:(|) Whispering I just started another spread asking the same questions, great minds think alike lol! You were reading about the stinky boars weren't you lol... :(|)xx>>>

I also put a link to a supplier on Joanne's thread that I found was the cheapest as I think the postage is £5 odd on hay experts. x x

Cheers J&G! I'm unsure whether £5 is worth it or not as that is quite a bit for P&P...suppose the package is quite heavy in itself. That's why I'd like to know if there were suppliers near to me rather than HAVING to use a site.

I'll have a looksy on your other links :)

Joanne - haha yes indeed great minds do think alike! so silly :))

I order my megazorb from a company called farmways. For 2 x 85 litre bags the shipping is £9.99.. I find that megazorb goes much further than shavings which I used to house my piggies on. It is far more absorbent and keeps the smells down. Let me know how much shipping you are being charged. If its cheaper than £9.99 then I may change supplier...

Whispering can you find the cheapest and then inform me since you stole my thread lol... hehe aren't I lazy but we can compare notes :)p or should I say prices!

Haha, sorry about that love :))

Well I think the one J&G is suggesting actually works out cheapest. 2 bags that weigh the same come to £19.40 when 2 bags from farmway that Farquhar suggested cost £21 something.

I might just buy one bag for the moment, try it out...and if it fails then I can maybe send it to someone here to uses it :)

I get mine from http://www.farmway.co.uk/ (the same supplier as Farquhar?) for £5.98 per bag plus £4.99 postage (so, £11 per bag - you pay an extra £5 postage for each additional bag), which is the cheapest I've found it. For me, it comes in at about the same price to buy megazorb online (including shipping) than it was to buy shavings from my local petshop, and I definitely prefer it as a bedding. (It should certainly be cheaper if you're using it as a partial substitute for hay.)

I have found that some bags are smellier than others though, I don't know what the deal is with that!

Megazorb is a horse bedding and is therefore usually sold at animal feed supplies. If you contact Megazorb direct they will tell you where your nearest stockist is.

I pay £6.50 per bag
