I was wondering what does it mean when my piggies vibrate when i hold them? Also why do they make a noise at each other when they are next to each other and move their bums from side ti side? Finally how can i tell what breed they are?
Thanks for any help x

Second question, this is called rumblestrutting, they do it when they are in season, or it is a sign of dominance. So be a bit wary as well.

Where are you touching them when they vibrate? Sometimes it is a happy sound. But if you touch their bum for instance, they may 'vibrate' if they don't like being touched in that area. If it is followed by teeth chattering then step away from touching them there!

Post a picture of them, and we can have a look. :)

Thanx i thought it might be rumblestruting but they r sows and i thought only boars did this? i wasnt stoking just holding them so hopefully its a good thing!

Hi! You may also find these threads here helpful:
Vibrating when being cuddled can mean displeasure when it is a short sharp burr or pleasure when it is a lighter, intermittent rumble, a bit like a cat's.

Sows rumblestrut for dominance, but they also do it when they are in season (at which time they can also mount and chase the other sow/sows - or even a husboar...).
