My two boars are over a year old.
They're usually quite dominant over each other yet none of them take the lead, they just seem to argue quite a lot. They sway their hips at each other and grumble a lot which I know is normal but is there anyway I can help the process be easier for them?
My guineas have a diet of a small amount of Burgess Mint Pellets twice a day, veggies, hay and sometimes they have time on the grass. I've grown concern lately of their wee stains. They're usually a white colour, sometimes translucent but mostly fairly white but it can vary. I know that this is due to Calcium in their diet but I give them veggies that aren't that high in Calcium. They usually have carrots and lettuce for veg but they have the the odd tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower leaves etc. They have a mixture of soft and hard poops but because there are two of them in the cage, I don't know who's poos are who's, can anyone give me any advice? Their hay is from a local farmer and is very fresh but I don't think it's dust free and they sneeze occasionally so should I change my hay and if so where can I get it at a good price and it still be good quality?
One of my guinea pigs like to drink out of one of the water bottles, then eats the newspaper that lines their cage, is this normal and is there any health precautions?
Sorry about this long questions but I'm just concerned about my piggies, like all owners I love my pets very much. Any information would be amazing!
Thank you x
