1.should i give them a dust bath a water bath or nether

I'm afraid i dont know the answer to this, but i would say no to both. Dust would be bad for their respiritory tract i think, and a water bath would get poos etc in it. Thats why water bottles are used, because of how dirty it gets.

You probably has a short haired piggie, and a rex. Sounds similar to my old pig.

3.ive had them a day and they have been eating their nugets but not having any water or hay is this ok

Give them time to settle (: They may just be doing so when your not around, or eating and drinking little so you havent noticed.

i know i probly sound think asking lol.

Here are tips for settling new piggies:
http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=36239

Guinea pigs can have baths with handwarm water (the best shampoos you can order from gorgeous guineas), but please wait until they have settled unless they are VERY filthy. The thickness and texture of the hair depends on their breed.

Put hay and water close to their hide and leave them to get their bearings which will take a few days. They will hopefully come out and eat it when they will feel safe and secure. Not all guinea pigs, especially young ones know how to use a water bottle, so please provide a bowl at first, even if it gets filthy quickly and you need to change it twice a day.

before i got my piggies, i did all kinds of research. ie: how to bath them, what they eat, what their sounds mean, how long they live, their little quirks. I'm excited for you to have entered the piggie world, but am very concerned that you dont even know if they get dust baths or water baths. What kind of research did you do?

Guineas get water baths, but do not need them very often at all. Sounds like you have a smooth coat one and a rex one.

Give them time to settle in, they will not starve themselves, they will probably eat when you arent watching.

Read, read, read, and then read some more. These piggies rely on you to know Everything about them....sounds like you should have started sooner rather than later.
