Hello everyone, I'm from Turkey. We have a guinea pig in 3.5 years old. There is a growing lump on her tale. She is very healthy, In Turkey guinea pigs are uncommon pets. Our vets don't know everyting. Can you help me? What is it? Is it dangeorus? Thank you for your answers...

Of course we cant be certain from the photos but this looks like the grease gland, which is found exactly where the tail should be. You can clean the grease gland up a bit using a bit of coconut oil on a cotton pad or tissue to gently wipe it. I'm a bit worried that she looks a little bald in that area too though, does she nibble at it as if it irritates her? I would maybe see if you can get a vet check to rule out mites if she does have a bald patch there x

Ok then it sounds like this really needs an urgent vet check, in case there is an infection or abscess forming in the grease gland x
