A helpful reminder for anyone using fleece bedding

Please remember to clean out your washing machine filter.

I hadn’t done ours for a while,( and we use a wash bag for the piggie bedding). So along with Eau de boar- I have Eau de washing machine! The windows are open.
Let’s hope everything rinses properly now.

So did I. Last time I cleaned a washing machine filter (years ago!) it broke the machine and I had to replace it, put me off ever attempting to take one apart again.

I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry at your post. I haven’t looked at the filter for a loooong time.

Almost 2 weeks later…. The washing machine is broken- dead!

Fleece bedding now stuck inside & I am sat here draining off the water

I checked mine and there is just a hole, goodness knows where the actual filter has gone

I can’t get to the filter on ours without digging up the kitchen surfaces! (It was set up this way when we moved in). So I’ll just pretend I never saw this thread!

Last time I cleared the filter on my washing machine after it had finished, I had to drain so much water out of it I never did it again! I now pretend there is no filter.

I drained a lot of water yesterday after the machine broke. Lovely washing machine mechanic has declared the washing machine dead . Nothing to do with me cleaning the filter. It’s electrics/power board is kaputt & best off buying a new one.
