Last I posted, I was trying to decide who to bond my boar Harry with. In the end I did get him neutered and he chose a lovely little wife called Sally (obviously) from a rescue centre. She was 6 months old and had already had a litter.

50 odd days later, 3 babies appear in the cage! So Sally was expecting before I got her and I'm very happily looking after 3 little ones. A total shock but a real privilege 💙
She had 2 girls and a boy from what I can see. But its early days so I will keep checking just to be sure haha

Aren't they precious?!

Oh my word, what a pickle. Have you spoken to the rescue centre about what has happened? Your new arrivals are gorgeous. Please be sure to remove any boars by either 21 days of age or 250g in weight - whichever comes soonest - in order to prevent any more little surprises.

Yes, they were very apologetic but they were told by the lady who surrendered them that the male had definitely been removed before she gave birth. Obviously not! Haha
Yes I've done plenty research and know to take him out by the 21st day. I'm leaving the girls in for at least 4 wks. Then off to new homes they will go. Although quite what to do with the boy is another matter. I may have to take him back to the rescue centre and let them bond him and find him a home.

Wow, three little cute surprises! I would try and contact one of the rescues on the list below when you come to surrendering the boar. You could also do the same for the sows, they would be found a good home with stringent vetting. I would be hesitant to surrender the boar back to the rescue given the circumstances.

The rescue centre I use is on your list and I have no issues with them 😊

Forgive me my judgement. Unfortunately people who surrender piggies don’t always tell the truth. But she’s with you now and she will already be living it up 😍 Enjoy the little ones, they grow up so quickly! Is there any chance you could keep the sows, or is space and potential future vet funds an issue. You could potentially have the pups living together once the boar has been neutered.

No worries, yes for sure. The centre were really upset when I told them. But I tried to reassure them. Its no problem to me.
Aw let me tell you, I'd love to keep them but they need more room than I can offer them indoors. I don't want to put them outdoors you see. I keep all my animals indoors.
I've not researched how quick you can get a boar neutered. Do you know what age they can be neutered out of interest?

What cute babies.
Sounds as you are the best person to deal with this surprise. The babies will get an excellent start.

They can be neutered from four months on, once their testicles descend. I understand you not wanting to keep them outdoors. I wish I had that option now but my kids and the sniffling can’t go on. I could tolerate being sniffly but I’m the adult.

They can be addictive though. Just so you’re aware 🤣 I wanted two. First pair (boars) came home august 2017. Following year in October I brought home a pair of sows 🤣

Once you pop, you just can't stop 😂
