It's not major, it's just something I noticed when I came home from my boyfriend's today. Jedward has something on her chin, she won't let me get a good look at it but it looks sort of like a scab or a small spot/pimple. She's in absolutely no discomfort whatsoever, and it could just be something she got during one of her scrabbles with Eclipse but I thought I'd check for advice just in case. Other than this one tiny blemish she's perfectly fine so I don't think she's ill or anything. I'll be keeping an eye on it but wondered if any of you could voice your opinions on what it might be.

I'd appreciate it just to ease my mind, I do tend to be a bit paranoid and think the worst but since she's perfectly happy and normal and healthy I don't think there's a whole lot wrong there. :)) My theory is the squabbling one but any other thoughts will probably make me feel a bit better.

It could be a small abscess or cyst, so it would be worth trying to get a good look at it. If she's been bitten/scratched by her cagemate then it could have got a slight infection. If so, you need to clean it with salty water and if it doesn't get better then it would be an idea to take her to the vets.

Hope she's okay! :)

That's what I thought, would it be best to use maybe a cotton pad and dab it with a salty water mix or just my fingers? I've only ever had cats really and they're a bit tougher than piggles but we used cotton pads when they had scratches and things. I'll do that this evening just in case and keep an eye on it, if it's not better by Wednesday I'll pop down to the vets.

I'm sure she's fine though, she's overjoyed with being clever since she figured out the ramps and won't stop making noise.

Loud noise.

It's most likely a scab gained in a squabble. Mine often have them and they go in a couple of days.
Silly pigs...mallethead

Thank you MrsM, that's reassuring. Mum and I will be bathing it with salty water for a few days to keep it clean and we'll see if it goes away. Mum says it looks fine, just a bit sore. Poor Jedhead, she will be a grumpy-guinea and fight... XD
