Hi!
So, I got my guinea pigs back in July, they are pretty tame now but only in the cage. They purr like crazy when I pet them, they take treats from my hands but as soon as I pick them up and put on my lap, they freeze and barely eat their favourite treats. Will they ever feel comfortable out of their cage?
Kristine. :)

Yes they will, its just going to take time, maybe have them both out together for comfort and so that they feel safe, but the more handling and treas you give them out of the cage, the more they will get used to it.

xx

Have them out together on your lap, snuggled into a towel or cosy. Persist; they will eventually get the message. Give them loads of praise.

And give them a treat and a big fuss afterwards to tell them how brave they were!

Wiebke is right, snuggle them into a towel or cosy. If you are able to then put them right by your neck on your front, under your chin, so that they can hear your breathing and feel your heartbeat. That will really calm them down and you should feel them relaxing.
