Hi

As you are all aware, we are currently looking for 2 piggies to give a lovely home to. I am a little shocked, we have just been to a pet shop for some bunny stuff and saw 2 piggies that were looking for a new home. The shop we were in has an onsite vets within it. I asked about the boys and questioned if they had seen a vet since being handed over for re-homing. I was told no it was not policy unless they had cause for concern. I asked if WE could pay for the piggies to visit the vet prior to us offering them a home. We were told again this is not company policy and we would have to pay the adoption fee first, take the piggies to the onsite vet and then if there was anything wrong with them pass them back for re-homing.
Something tells me there is a moral to this story ! Do not re-home pets from this pet shop ! Such a shame as the piggies look so sad in their tiny cage :(

that's pet shops all over. just money grabbers with pound signs in their eyes. rolleyes:...:({:|malletheadgrrrrpow-pow

The catch with pets shops is the more you buy from them because you feel sorry for the little piggles, the less reason they have to change their policies and care.

You can complain about the shop to your local council (licence), but that is about as much as you can do!

Sadly, there are far too many animals looking for a caring home...
