a friend’s mother has been discovered to be allergic to their family guinea pigs. my family has a agreed to take them in temporarily until we can find a new home for the pair. we don’t have any long-term space for four more pigs, especially considering that we have two boars, both not neutered. they get along lovely now but if they smell the females i’m afraid that will change. any advice on what i can do short term? the two pairs will be in the same room, but in separate cages.

by the way, hello! i have not been here for awhile and I'm happy to see many of you are still here, active as always :D

Hi! always place the sows ideally out of reach of pheromones and sight. Ideally at the other end of a room; the boars above the girls or if next to each other with an opaque divider that is higher and wider than the cages.
