A few days ago I wanted to give George a bath so I bought some guinea pig shampoo and gave him a bath.
He enjoyed it so much I filled up the bath tub just a bit and he was swimming!:(|)He was having so much fun so I added some toys.
When the bath was over he didn't want to come out but he had to!:)
After the bath I dried him and gave him his favourite food-GRASS!:(|)
He ate it all up and went back to his hutch to play he had so much fun!
It was a fantastic day for George!:):)p:)):(|)

How cute is that?! drool

I would love for mine to do that but they hate the water, they went mad at me just washing their bums. :0

You will have to do a little video next time! :):<>

The cleanliness didn't last long! :))

They are due one now but I am worried about the cold weather, would it be ok to do it and put them near the radiator in their pens?

HA HA HA HA!
If the weather is really really cold don't give them a bath but if it's an alright temperature than you can give your piggies a bath but make sure the water is nice and warm and that you blow dry them but make sure you hold the dryer far away and they might love having a shower!:):)p:(|):))

Yes the house temperature is fine. :)

I should have done it yesterday, they had the whole day in their pen and their house had a good clean. grrrr:(|)

Sounds cute, I am glad George enjoyed his bath!

Jenny - mine are all due baths on the last weekend of this month. I'm always wary of bathing in winter, but if the pigs live indoors just make sure the central heating stays on, at least until they are 100% dry. I generally prefer to keep the heating on for a full 24 hours on days when the pigs are bathed.

I am glad that George has turned out to be one of the few who enjoy water!

I am waiting with bathing my lot right now as there have been quite a few sneezes and stuffy noses making the rounds lately and in view of our cage being near a window (they get a fleece blanket over the top of the cage for overnight).
