Brought the piggies in last night because they were scared of the fireworks. Unfortunately we'd left the "indoor hutch" outside since we last used it in the summer and it was very wet inside, so the pigs spent the night, and today, in a pen set up in the dining room.....

And now my husband is talking about making space for them to actually LIVE indoors - something I never thought could happen!

Great news!
Wish that would happen to me! My two have come in due to the fireworks and are being kept in until Tuesday morning, all my hubby is doing moaning about the fact we can’t get through the room as easily and the hay strands which are appearing in other rooms where the piggies aren’t!

Piggies in the house, husband in the yard- that's what I'd prefer anyway :) little husboar Theo doesn't snore or leave the toilet seat up! But they all live indoors all year round :) and my whole house is always ankle deep in hay and floofy piggy fur...

That's it, he's always hated the hay being walked in and out of the house through the conservatory so I'm not counting my chickens. But the fact he's enjoying their company enough to even consider it seriously is amazing.

I have had a minature house guest this weekend (demon child, age 4) who decided it would be great fun to throw an entire bag of meadow hay in the air rather than into the piggy cage... grrrr... demon child is now banished until Christmas and I've filled the vac 4 times...

That wouldn't happen here!

Couldn’t you have just let all the piggies out and asked them to clear it up for you?
:)
I did comment to my husband that just tipping the contents of the fridge, 2 bags of hay, a bag of pellets, a bag of kaytee bedding, and the laundry basket, onto the floor and asking the piggies to help themselves would have meant less cleaning up than inviting the extended family to "help" with things!

What website did you use to order the c&c cage did you get the correx flooring too? Where can I get it from I'm confused. I hear so much about it but don't really know how to purchase irlt correctly

Me too, I spent hours trying to work it out because I really wanted 3ft by 3ft for the space, but ended up giving up and getting a standard one with a loft from this place because you get it all together. I think, because it's modular, I can add more later if I work it out!

They are a fantastic company and where I got mine from (used as a playpen in their shed attached to their hutch). So much easier getting it all from here because everything you need is supplied, no messing about! And yes, you can add to it if you need to at any point

Now this is the thing about the hay. They have slept/weed/pooed in the paper bag overnight, and are still eating the yucky hay in there, while the hay-rack remains almost untouched.

I have just this minute put the green tray down and that's ok because they can climb into it, though Clover's gone back for a bit more yucky bag-hay (bleurgh)...

(This is the temporary fireworks set-up btw... possibly staying until c&c arrives!)

We got our C&C from the same place (started with a 5x2 then added an extra room) and we love indoor piggies- I can't sleep properly without the sounds of water bottle rattling and carrot cottage crunching at 3am! I like to know everyone is safe indoors at night :) despite what its done to my vacuum cleaner and washing machine...
My husband agrees because he loves piggies and he grew up on a farm getting in trouble for bringing goats inside/sleeping outside in the goat shed as a kid!

I just asked my husband what the most difficult thing about having indoor piggies is... and he said its really tricky walking past them all the time and just leaving them alone and not constantly picking them up and cuddling them and rubbing his face in their fur and zipping them inside his jumper and feeding them treats :) clearly not a chap who does the vacuum cleaning but a lovely answer there piggy daddy!
