I was just wondering if a group of 3 males would work of course I'm looking into getting a bigger cage for my two boy they dont really need it but i want to give them plenty of room so i wanted to know if i could introduce a mew babie into the group my two boys get along amazing they had a stage of maturity problems but now thats over they are really well settled. My cousin has offered me a guinea pig the reason I'm so into getting him because he is a beatiful colour and it sees he is the only male out of the 5 she can not keep these 5 so the girls will find homes together but the male is alone she doesnt want to risk him always being alone or dying of depression. I'm hoping if my mam sees him she will fall in love where going to see the babies I'm really hoping she will allow it.View attachment 107153

Hi!

Boar trios have a very high fail rate; in sub-adult boar trios this is as high 90%. It is tough enough to get a pair through the teenage months (although thankfully more make it than not).

I know that they temptation to add to one's starter pair is very great when all is going well, hence why I have written this guide here, which explains it all in more detail than I can pack into ever post: Adding More Guinea Pigs Or Merging Pairs – What Works And What Not?
