LOL at Rodney, got to be honest I don't see him as a Rodney! I like Scooter as he's blummin' nippy! Yes, I'm liking Bouncer too!

Ohhhh how did I miss this?! I love the name Bouncer and Scooter is cute too. I can see him (via piccies of course) as a "Bouncer" - bounding all over the place, but also solid and dependable (bit like the guys outside night clubs! ;D)
 
Bouncer's good too! I'm trying to forget his name was Choccy, so hard as Emily is still talking about him and Jasper! ;D

That's the thing Louise, we wanted to give him a new name in the next day or so or else he will be forever Choccy! ( although there's nothing wrong with Choccy of course)

Lol Julie i have only just seen this thread. I was reading through it all just to see if anyone had realised its Bouncer not Boomer !

I love the name Bouncer for him he is gorgeous and looks so settled with you already. :smitten:

I agree it will be hard calling him something different. He made such a lasting impression on us that the next brown pig (and with Emily's consent of course...lol) we will call him Choccy! I still can't get over how much of a stud he is...lol Twinkle was so jealous! ;D

How is he today Julie? Marty said he was a bit quiet on Tuesday so hope he is back to his popcorning madness now! ;D
 
He's very inquisitive and is eating well, and he sat on my lap for a little bit yesterday before deciding to go and investigate (and wee on >:D) the sofa but we haven't seen him popcorn once since we got him. We're a bit worried that he's not settled in yet as I would have thought he'd have come out of himself a bit by now. I even turned the hoover on to see if it would get him going but there was no reaction. At the moment he is only in a 1m cage (he'll be in the larger 1.2m cage when we move him upstairs) so I wondered if he was feeling a bit claustrophobic. He's also drinking an awful lot, did he do that with you Louise?

Hi Marty,

He did take a couple of days to settle here, give him a week for popcorning, the hoover never set him off here either. I think it was the wrong pitch of noise compared to Helens...lol

He did drink a hell of a lot when here too but no more than my Sows (especially Flora) so I wasn't concerned. :)

Phew, at least his drinking habits are consistent O0

I'm sure he'll start popcorning soon, I took him upstairs yesterday just so he could get a "whiff" of the other piggies' presence, he had a good old sniff but I didn't want him to get too close to them yet because of Oscar's (possibly) infectious state.

I'm hoping we can move him upstairs sooner rather than later as even though you and Hels both said he doesn't seem too bothered by other piggies presence I'd still like him to be able to "chat" to them if he wants.

Well, it was close between Boomer and Xander, we were 100% happy with either, but it looks like Boomer just pipped it - so in honour of Hels, Louise and Graham who will probably always calll him Choccy, we've named him Boomer MacChoccy (the Mac bit reflecting his Scottish origin!) ;D

Thank you for all your suggestions and votes. Losing Oscar so suddenly recently overshadowed his start with us somewhat, but we hope that he will have a very happy home here.
 
Aww lovely He suits Boomer. I probably will always think of him as Choccy. Haha! I'll tell Emily now about his new name, may take her mind of her spots! :smitten:
