I'm very sorry to read this. :( Sending an extra large helping of support and healing vibes to you and Casran.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry, this is just awful news. Certainly not your fault at all, please don't think it could be, it's not, but what it is, is really awful.
I have some tears after reading this, it must feel like your heart is being ripped out bit by bit.
Oh @TheAurora , huge hugs to you :hug:x

So hard to find the words to say. Such a shock, it's hard for me to take in I can't imagine how you feel Dawn. Love and hugs to you and Casran.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this. It certainly isn't something you deserve, nature can be so cruel. Sending big hugs. Popcorn free Jemima x

I am so sorry. You did nothing to deserve this, on top of all that you're going through. Sometimes that is just how things work. I remember when my dog was sick, blind in one eye, and unable to keep his balance even to go to the bathroom. We got some medicine shipped in from somewhere, and I was so sure that he was going to get better. On the night that he died, that afternoon I had just been explaining his situation to a family member, and how I thought he was going to live.

Life is cruel, but we must go on. Jemima loved you in that funny way that animals do, and you loved her in the funny way that humans do. Now, though, she is free from pain, hunger, and thirst, and will be so much happier. It's strange how we don't realize how short life is until it's gone.

Popcorn over the rainbow bridge, Jemima.

Oh, Dawn, I am so very sorry to hear that you have suddenly lost the lovely Jemima. We all really feel for you, at this very sad time. I wish I could come and give you a big hug. I've got very absorbent shoulders!

(Sorry I'm a bit late!)

Thanks @7squeakers.

Having spoken to the vet, she thinks there may be something genetic at play. Or, sadly, Jemima picked up Casran's phenomena and couldn't fight it.

It's just a terrible tragedy. By the time she showed symptoms, it was obvious nothing could be done. She had a very peaceful death though x
