Everything was going well with the arrival of Forrest. Pop was seeming to pretty much ignore him, until after about 5 hours, a bit if teeth chattering and a lot of 'yawning' from Pop.
I ended up sleeping on the sofa to keep an eye over night, and was woken a few times with teeth chattering followed by running away by Forrest.
There hasn't been a fight, just a bit of intimidation. No humping. Mostly just in your face yawning.
Today I will be on alert, will give them more space in the run inside and out if it's nice.

My concern is going to work on Monday and them being together all day. thoughts?

1. bathing method
2.split them up for the hours * work side by side

I bathed them both as soon as I got Forrest home before they went together. Hadn't thought of side by side whilst at work, duh! Would you do it overnight?
What if teeth chattering doesn't happen today - would you leave them together tomorrow?

Once they are in together the worst thing you can do is split them up again, as they will have to go through the bonding hierarchy etc. all over again.

They don't sound worrying to me at all, granted I don't do pairs of boars as much as others on here but it just sounds like the dominance is being settled. You won't expect them to love each other immediately, even girls can sleep at separate sides of the hutch for ages as can male and female pairs.

My advice if you are concerned would be to ring Windwhistle, they oversaw the bonding and are best to advise.

I agree with Doey. If the boys get through today without fighting it's unlikely that there's going to be a problem - do not split them up unless there is a full on fight. Side by side only helps in the build up to bonding, not once it has taken place.

Please have a chat to Windwhistle as they will be best placed to advise on your boys.

Ok thanks, they are both looking flopped out and chilled at the moment. So it's looking good this morning.
Please! I need a solid nights sleep!
