A P@H guinea pig nugget? No dog biscuits pass these Piggie Lips!

I was running out of piggie nuggets and as today was such a lovely day my boyfriend and I decided to have a drive to Pets at Home to get some :) I bought a 4kg bag of pets at home guinea pig nuggests and had a nice nose at the little animals, did some other bits of shopping around town and went home. Then as I was pouring the nuggets into the stay fresh container thing I noticed something strange...."Thats not a piggie nugget!" I gasped.

I thiiiink they might be dog biscuits? I am a little annoyed, what if I didnt notice and fed it too them! Surely that wouldnt be good :{
Obviously I havent fed it to them and I shall be taking the bag back tomorrow to exchange it for another.
I would be quite shocked if the pigs started to woof :p
Naughty P@H . Chunks of splintered wood in the woodshavings is bad enough...but please no dog biscuits thank you!rolleyes

Thats bad. I hope you have complained? Just think it may of happended to other people too! I think you should be getting free bags of food for your troubles! Poor Greta cant have biscuits now.

I will be taking them back but I'm such a coward when it comes to complaining. I doubt they'd give me anything as I'm not too good at kicking up a stink but I suppose I'll give it a go. A dog biccy could have made my pigs ill!
 
I dont mind having the old complain when needed. I would just ask them what is the risk of this happening to further food? and what are they going to check. I think if they are genuine pet lovers they will check cause they would not want any animal to be ill. Also your not complaining really just checking that none of any other piggies are going to get a nasty suprise of dog biscuits.
 
They look like the P@H rat nuggets to me? I used to feed these when I had my lovely ratties!

I'm not sure if they still do them as I'm ratless these days but they do look really like them.

Na my housemate has rats and I just fed them p@h rat nuggets for him. They are perfectly round and fat the round one I found in the pigs nuggets was quite flat and round and smells different.
 
Don't complain. I'm sure it is an accident.....we all make errors. If you send Head office a polite letter explaining what you found and enclosing the evidence you are far more likely to be listened to and get a nice reply back.
You never know, they might even send you some gift vouchers as a sorry.
;)
 
They just did a straight swap for me. They didnt seem too concerned so i mentioned that I hope that they would inform the right department as I was concern for other piggies. He just said they would do a product re-call.
I'll be sending the biscuits off along with a letter to the right department to let them know so they can sort things.
