New Born Pup
Sunny Boy
What a cute little clever pig, how much we will miss you,
Can’t give you cuddles, and no longer kiss you,
No more is your cute face, when you would look and sniff in the air,
Or week with your floppy ears when there’s a bag rustle or foot steps you hear,
Your fur soft and white, with pink ears and eyes of red,
How we’ll miss trying to catch you in the garden when its time to go to bed,
You were a master of escaping, and almost every night we would,
Be shooing you out from the palettes, and under the wood,
Oh Sunny boy, you made us all laugh at your mischievous antics,
Scaring me when you ate the ivy, I was panicking and frantic,
The one to investigate, you were first up the ladder,
Without your sunshine in our lives, it will always be sadder,
Your running and hiding and naughty piggy chasing,
You were so fast it was quite amazing,
We would all smile as you would splat out when relaxed or asleep,
When Great Nanny Pig bought over fennel leaves, oh Sunny boy did you squeak,
You would nibble Mummies finger, and she’d squeal with delight,
Such a handsome little boy, for ever we kiss you goodnight,
Under the cherry tree in your garden, where you chewed your own name,
Now that you’re gone life will never be the same,
When I’m in the sun in the garden I’ll look over and across,
I shall just imagine you’re still there as you always was,
Fast asleep in the long grass with your little eyes completely closed,
Your fur slightly moving when the gentle wind blows,
Every so often moving to snuggle then, settling down again,
Sleep tight little Sunny Boy forget you? never,
Your names on our hearts and we’ll miss you FOREVER x
