A pretty good hutch I think!

Not a good hutch in the end. Contacted the seller to see how much the postage would be and guess what? Its £25! It's ridiculous, since other people's postage for hutches aren't that steep! :O

Looks like the search for a hutch is back on!

Actually £25 is really reasonable, given it's approximately 2 hour drive from the sellers location to your location by road. Petrol isn't cheap, plus the courier has to cover costs such as paying the driver and general wear and tear to the vehicle. I've paid a lot more than that for a similar service. The hutch itself is a good price too, it looks solid and it's already stained and weather proofed as per the picture.

Bought the hutch in the end, as there was no others! I guess the expensive postage makes up for a cheap hutch!

Glad you got it, it looks nice :)
I agree with natalie, i think the prices are reasonable, plus you have to remember someone is making these by hand, most likely in their free time and they have to purchase the materials to do so.

Got this hutch- it's not as great as it looks. It arrived DAMP so the piggies couldn't go in it till the next day, the wire is rusty-think it was kept outside for a while. Plus the ramp is pretty dangerous, Snowball fell down it:0 So my dad's had to block up the hole for now until he can put a little platform as the top of the ramp touches the wall.

My mom has emailed the seller telling them- as it seems a hazard to the piggies. They came back with the fact it should be for rabbits- well they didn't state that in the description!

Very unhappy.

You could put a brick underneath the end of the ramp so it isn't as steep, and maybe put some carpet offcuts on so it's a bit grippier. Is there any way to add a railing onto the side of the ramp so it's a little more secure for them?

Oh I remember your mom telling us about this problem with the ramp :(
Has your dad managed to modify it and definitely advise putting a rail for them :)
I would seriously consider sorting this out with the seller - say you're not happy, they don't have great feedback so says it all.
You would have to return the hutch though for a full refund and have 45 days from purchase to raise your grievance. Ebay will assist you case and resolve the dispute - did you pay via paypal ?
I've complained over purchases on ebay and got every penny back :) Sellers cannot sell you goods that are damaged or not as described, this hutch sounds as though it's been outdoors so damp and rusty. You wouldn't buy that from a shop would you ;)

If it's not "fit for purpose" then you have a case for a refund and rust is not good for rabbits! Check your consumer rights...

I have just replied in your other thread but I would definitely take this up with eBay. Your are within your consumer rights to received a full refund if the product doesn't reach your expectations. Keep all emails that go between you and the seller. Good luck

My mom has contacted the seller and for some reason they want pictures...you can't exactly take a picture of damp wood. In their email they said we could have returned it, but it says on their description no returns:^- But it's too late now as we have used it. My moms trying to set up a case against them but eBay doesn't seem to be working 100% at the moment. Yes we paid via Paypal.

Yes the hutch looks like it's been weathered! It's like a old hutch , when it's been stated as 'Brand new'.
