My little cousin Rossy, whose 7, lost his pet bunny Snowy two weeks before christmas. He was devestated, Snowy died at the grand old age of eleven and was very much a loved bun; my aunty bought Snowy for her eldest children when they were nine (now 18 ) but they soon lost intrest. However as soon as Rossy could crawl he'd follow Snowy around and they were always together.

So when Snowy died my grandad buried her in the garden, and put snowdrops ontop of the grave in a 's' shape and told Rossy that she had gone to heaven now with the piggies and hamsters.

But Rossy was still very, very upset and his mum (my aunty) was very worried that he wouldn't enjoy christmas so the week before christmas they went to PAH (I know i did try to say go to the rspca...) and brought home a wee little boy bunny from the adoption center.

As Ross was stopping over at my grandparents for the week it gave the new bun a chance to settle in, and on christmas evening when they came home, Ross had a very special message from Snowy saying that she had found him a bunny who was loney and sad, and would he look after him for her?

x) As you can imagine he was estatic! The bunny, now named 'Smudge' has a whole house to himself and follows Ross around like Snowy and honestly, he thinks hes a dog. He runs to the door, picks up the post and shreds any newspapers, and on the first night ross came home he fell asleep on his knee. ^)

Its wonderful to see children care and love for their pets from a young age n'awww!

Aww, what a happy ending to a sad beginning :)

I know its lovely to see him care for the bunny he absoloutly adores bunnies (and football lol!) and Smudge is very cute x)

Awwwww...so amazing!

Thanks for making me smile :)

What a lovely story and what a great home the new bunny will have..

Awwww

My little brothers love our piggies and have turned down going out with friends in favour of helping clean out the piggies and run them.

It is heartwarming to see.

Awww I remember the pain of a lost animal when a child, it is in many ways harder to bare than the pain as adult as you understand in another way why they die. Glad Rossy got a new friend!
