A Tip For Guineas With Uti's And Perhaps Bladder Stones.

Beano was looking very sick tonight with her uti and I was really worried about her. Then I heated up this plastic pad called 'snuggle safe' and put it in her hutch under her blanket. she laid on it a while and afterwards her body felt so relaxed to hold and she did two big puddles of wees and lots of'pellets' without much struggle at all. she was confirmed to have a uti through a urine analysis, but could possibly have stones too. I'm going to the vet in the morning. but I'm hoping she doesn't have stones as I think the heat must have helped an inflammation, and if she had stones she still would've had a lot of pain.
I'm in winter, so you have to judge based on the temperature where you live, but it proved to be a great comfort to her. here's a link:
 
I hope that it is just a straight forward UTI and not a stone or bladder sludge! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
 
That's a good tip, I know heat pads help me when I have pain. Good luck at the vets.
