I met Bill Pryor during my interview that was on the news. He was the man from the story that did the magic trick with Rapunzel on his lap. His family was so grateful that he got to be on TV and do one last magic trick for his fans. They said that he was not accepting many visitors, but when he heard there was a news crew following Rapunzel, his eyes lit up and he said “Really…”, because, as his daughter says, he was a showman. His daughter watched the interview with tears in her eyes knowing that he didn’t have much time left and that they could cherish this video for years to come. Bill sadly passed away on Saturday. As his children were going through his house, they came across a print of a painting that his late wife, Barbara had painted. She was a watercolor artist. The painting was of a bunny but had an uncanny resemblance to Rapunzel! They contacted Therapy Pets of Greater Cincinnati and eventually got to me and said that they would like me to have the print. They invited me to meet them at the church before Bill’s funeral so that the rest of the family could meet Rapunzel and me. I am so touched that they would think of me and I know that God put me in his life when He did, so Bill could have his one last moment of fame doing what he loved, magic. Who knows, maybe God inspired his wife to paint that painting because he knew one day a little animal would come into his life and make such an impact.
