Ffion – you have come to me only in March to fill the void that sweet Fflur had left, and, by God, you DID!

Bold, brash, inquisitive and fearless – whoever met you and could give you a cuddle straightaway would not forget you! You were truly one of a kind and had never heard of a rulebook for guinea pigs. I was so grateful that Helen let you go!

(The account of Ffion in the vet’s waiting room) http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=47855

I already miss so much the tap-tap-tap of your claws on the hall and kitchen floor that heralded your arrival in order to make sure you would get first choice or a special treat. I miss that you are no longer waiting in the kitchen door for me to come back with some grass. Even my mother-in-law (who can’t tell one piggy from the other) knows you as “the piggy that comes into the kitchenâ€. She found it so charming that you were saying hello to her - of course, nothing to do with not wanting to miss out on anything!

Those wild, utterly mad days when you, Taffy and Ffowlyn were all in season at the same time and chasing each other and poor Llewelyn into the bargain... The three piggy humping pile-ups and bum chasing roundabouts didn’t happen before you turned up and made me laugh so hard that I fell from my chair more than once!

Once you got the hang of the big outside, you were the most inveterate beggar at the mesh and always made sure that you got more than your fair share. If you overslept dinner (which you sometimes did; you had a habit of being dead to the world at times), you would turn up amongst a burst of indignant squeaking.

You have left me so many precious memories of your happy, busy life, Ffion.

I don’t know what really caused and contributed to the strain on your heart that cut short your still young life, but I am grateful to know that you didn’t suffer and could just go in your usual dramatic fashion. It is a consolation to me that the last picture of you on the evening before is the one where you fell asleep on my knees...

You have now joined my others in the garden, Fflur and Dizzy, Minx and Mischief. We buried you with the last bloom of foxgloves (for your name) and some hydrangea flowers for your big personality not far from the lawn.

Keep an eye out on the tribe for me, will you, Ffion?

Rest well, sweet Ffion. Your Mummy certainly shared your huge character and charm with all of us, many people will miss seeing your little face at the PIG-UN meetings and dinner plate, none more so than your Mummy. Have fun meeting Fflur, Dizzy, Minx and Mischief.

Hugs, Wiebke. xx

what a beautiful tribute to such a beautiful girl Wiebke - I especially like the photos of just her snout and lips

Rest well sweet Ffion x

A really lovely tribute Wiebke. The photos brought back lots of Ffion's adventures that we heard about through your stories on here. Such a beautiful and engaging piggy.

Goodnight little Ffion. :rose

A beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl.

Ffion you will be greatly missed and remembered. Sleep peacefully x x x

That was a beautiful tribute to a very special pig, Wiebke... Drats, you have me crying even! Very lovely pictures, what a fantastic piggie...

I'm sure she will keep an eye out for you even at the bridge. She was always a pig with a big sense of responsibility and curiosity. She will want to know what happens to you!

Oh that is such a beautiful tribute to a very special and comical piggy xx

What a gorgeous little piggy you are Ffion. Rest well and have lots of fun at the bridge. I feel so much better about Murphy going to the bridge knowing that you will be there to help him settle in.x)x)

You was such a special little girl and you shall never be forgotten. You had a huge character on the forum and you shall be very sadly missed.

My Erin was pleased that she met you and got to share a hutch with you before you went off to your new home.

I shed a tear for you when I heard the news that you had gone to the bridge.

Sleep peacefully Ffion and watch over your mummy and piggy friends. They loved you very much.

What a moving tribute to such a special girl - I confess to shedding tears over her loss more than once. I was privileged to meet her, and even have a picture of her lying on my lap. A little girl with such a big personality. I always looked forward to hearing of her antics both by herself and as part of the Tribe. I've loved looking at the slideshows, albeit again with teary eyes.

Ffion, you'll be so much missed here in the Forum, as well as at home .... RIP sweet girl.

And many hugs to you, dear Wiebke .....

A lovely tribute to an adorable piggy. Sweet dreams Ffion x

Oh Wiebke what a beautiful, beautiful tribute to such a special girl. I too have tears rolling down my face.

Have a ball at the bridge Ffion, just as you did here x

Such a beautiful tribute, I could really see her character come through in your description of her. So glad your last photo was a reminder of your last loving night together.
The pictures are truly wonderful

sleep well Ffion
xx

Oh my lord Wiebke, I am truly sorry to hear about Ffion. What a lovely photo of her time spent with you the night before she passed. Such a pretty little girl.

A lovely tribute and her experience at the vet made me smile a lot. Take care Wiebke and RIP Ffion. xx:rose

A beautiful and fitting tribute. You have so many fantastic photos of her, I loved looking through the slide show saying to myself 'Oh yes I remember that one and that one, that's my favourite picture, or maybe that one!'
She was such a character I feel like I knew her. Thank you for sharing your stories and photos. Have fun at the Rainbow Bridge little Ffion, she'll be there ready to meet everyone I recon. You've left a big hole in the tribe and the forum. x

Ffion, you were a beautiful piggie and brought such joy in the little time you shared with the tribe. Its so sad losing a pet under any circumstances but when it is sudden it can seem so cruel. Wiebke, Ffion will watch over you and your tribe for always. I remember when you got her and I enjoyed hearing about her integration into the tribe. Popcorn free at the bridge beautiful girl. Send piggie kisses down to mummy to dry her tears and will never forget the joy you brought to her life. Sleep well little one..

AWWWW Wiebke that is just so so sad.

RIP little sweet girl, you have left a big hole and we'll all miss you here too.

I read this last night and couldn't type anything. 8...

She was a lovely piggie and she will be missed by so many on the forum as well as the big hole she's left in your heart Wiebke. She was so fortunate to of been able to fulfill all her exploring tendencies with you.

This thread is a lovely tribute to her.

The tribute for Ffion is beautiful
I loved all the pictures, they certainly brought a tear to my eye

RIP and popcorn free little girl

A very fitting tribute to a gorgeous little piggy with an amazingly big personality................

Run free sweet Ffion..............

Teresa xx

Thank you everybody!

I am blessed to have been mummy to such a special piggy and I miss Ffion dreadfully in all the small things. She is by far the youngest piggy to ever leave me; she cannot have been much over 18 months old, if that.

I will cherish the memories I have got, but always with the feeling that there should have been so many more to come...
