this is Yoshie , who i nicknamed Yoyo he was my constant companion for 7 and half years, going everywhere with me, i still rember hearing his squeeks and chatter when ever he heard me come home which always cheered me up and brought smile to my face or the way he'd folow me about the house as if i were hiding food from him . I still miss him everyday..

It is hard to cope when you have had such a great companion for so long!

Sadly, there is no shortcut to grieving. It is the depth of a bond that determines how much we miss someone, not the species. Grieving is the other side of love.

It took me ages until I got over the death of my special piggy Minx.

Perhaps you can sponsor a rescue piggy that cannot be rehomed for medical reasons in Yoshi's name? I found such a gesture helpful.

thankyou, i still miss him alot and i still get upset when i look at picture or videos of him, i still rember him fondly and try to keep looking after guinea pigs and help other piggies in his memory.

Yoshie sounded like a very special piggie and my, what a grand age he lived to. Piggies certainly leave a void when they pass to the bridge and I too still grieve for my piggies Farquhar & Bob. It sounds as though Yoshi had a wonderful life with you and I'm sure he watches over you from the bridge..

Yoshie was a very special pig who will always share a special place in your heart. I lost my first pig last April and even though I now have 4, I shall never forget Connie.

Your tribute is beautiful.

Sleep peacefully Yoshie. You shall always be missed x

What a beautiful tribute to sweet Yoshie x)xx>>>

Time does help a little, but then i still find i get tears in my eyes and get all emotional remembering Dukey :( but i can also smile too when remembering some of the things he did......

Give yourself time love, one day you'll be able to look at this pigture and smile and talk to him and tell him how much you miss him :)
Don't worry i'm sure he's looking down on you and sending you lots of piggie kisses to help you xoxoxoxo

Aww Indie, Yoshie does look a real little darling indeed. His eyes remind me of my little Daisy who passed only just in April recently. It's an awful feeling, and even though we know we are going to be upset by looking at photos/videos etc, we still want to look.

Even though we want to look and know at the same time that the piccies etc may make us cry, for some reason, sometimes we want to cry and just think about how much we miss our little buddies.

I know I've been like that for a good few months lately, moreso since we had to have Daisy put to sleep. I want to talk about her to my immediately family and wonder if we could have done anything else to improve her state of health, but I also cry at the same time and sometimes, I'm quite happy to go into another room, or stay in the shower or whatever and just think about her and cry. Often, following that emotional time, I feel a lot better, and I think that I must have needed to cry. All sorts of other factors pop into the emotional state too..............but grief takes a long time to work through.

Try not to upset yourself too much by looking at Yoshie's pics etc, but when you need to look at them, don't hold back, just do it.

Take care and thinking of you. xx
