As many of you are aware Morph has been with Debbie for a week now, prior to that he was off colour and on antibiotics for a week.

He is still not eating, no one still has any idea what is wrong and what will happen to him in the long term. I have therefore made the sad and tough decision to hand him back to rescue. I have paid Debbie until next Tuesday when hopefully after two weeks of syringe feeding something will be clearer.

He would not be able to come back to me, my girls live outside, and Morph will never be tough enough for that.

I feel sad and guilty, but also know I have done the right thing.

I just wanted to thank you for your helpful advice and I will stick around if I may?

I'm sorry it didn't work out but you have to do the right thing for morph, where a bouts are you maybe someone local can help so he doesn't have to go back to the rescue altough maybe a rescue is most knowledgable place for him.

:( Could he not be 'boarded' with Debbie rather than go back ? Perhaps you could organise a little sponsorship for him, friends, family etc. ?/
Would the rescue be able to give him the treatment he requires hun ?
What a tough time for you :(

he is still with Debbie as she fosters for the rescue I got him from, so its not as if I have taken him away from her.

Thank you for your understanding

So Morph would still get the treatment he needs etc.
The people involved know him so this can only be a bonus for you all knowing he will continue getting what he needs.
I know it's hard hun but he'll be in the best hands :)

I am sorry that you had to make that decision; it can't have been an easy one for you! Morph is in the best of hands with continued access to one of the best vets, so hopefully he can be saved.

You've definitely made the right decision, and although it's been difficult for you, you have thought of Morph first.

Morph will be staying with me for now, and hopefully he will get better. I have made another appointment at the vets for Thursday so Simon can check his teeth, as although he doesn't appear to have dental problems, the fact he has eaten very little for himself for a while means they could be getting a little overgrown.

Thank you, that means a lot. I loved that little chap so quickly and wish with all my heart it had worked out for both of us. Actually for all three of us, as Matilda loved him too :0

awww sweety 8... how sad :( but well done for doing what's best for your piggy and not putting your personal feelings in the way and keeping him. i agree with guinea pig slave, putting together a sponsorship for him to pay vet costs and food and bedding would be a lovely idea for him, and take some of the guilt off you x

I thought I would use him as my avator just for the next week, so you can see him and know that he did know how to eat once. He justs seems to have forgotten how

poor little guy :( fingers crossed he pulls through x

Oh love i'm so sorry to hear, yes it's a very hard decision but you've made this because of Morph.

Good luck little Morph when you see Simon again xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Big Hugs to you.

And big healing vibes to Morph.

It is sad for you, but its the right descision for Morph.
He will get the best care handed back to the rescue and in Debbie's care.
You have fully thought about his needs
Good Rescues are all about giving back-up if one of their adopted piggies and new owners need it.

Debbie will be doing all she can I know, and Simon is the best vet to help.

Debbie has been brilliant, I honestly don't think Morph would be here without her.

You made a very unselfish decision and put Morph's welfare first

Good luck little Morph with the vet. xx
