Was just having a quick add up of vets bills over the year and then stopped because it was getting too painful...My boys have had some difficult medical issues this year.
However, the receptionist at the vet managed to rub salt in the wounds for me - we often say that I should have my own parking space at the vets as I am there so often and the receptionist agreed and said I had probably paid for the recent resurface of the whole car park - marvellous:nod::mal:

My vet shouted accross the waiting room "I don't want to see you for a very long time - and I mean that in the nicest possible way" - then explained to an amused packed waiting room that i had been doing a 60mile round trip twice a week for over 3 months with Bumble - £2015 my vets bills for this year.

I'll think of you Laura as I drive into their car park. I did notice a pretty bad pothole last time I went. I hope all your piggies are all doing OK now.
Thanks Val - the car park is all smooth now :) probably thanks to both you and me! Boys are OK - just hoping Barney Bs cancer has all been removed and doesn't return but they seem pretty happy!

scary! I actually stopped having small pets for a few years due to vet bills but I missed the little critters! Now have 4 guineas and 4 rats, it could get expensive :o

LOL! We went through that a couple of years ago, when Sundae had recurrent issues with both her teeth/abscess and her bladder and was at the vet every couple of weeks for months. It really added up. Things have settled down now (knock on wood!) but my husband still says that I am putting the vet's kids through college and that Sundae must be their favorite little 'cash cow' in that practice!

Yep my husband suggested that I redirect my salary straight to the vets and just miss out my bank - he might have a point....

Wow I think I have been lucky, I have 6 piggies, have had a minimum of 2 for the last 4 years and I've only had 1 which has needed to go to the vet which resulted in a one off chunk of money with many trips and different antibiotics but (touch wood) I've had no other problems with mine!
