Well yesterday afternoon was disrupted(not that I mind) by the RSPCA inspector turning up with a piggy in a box, who had been by the side of the road on a housing estate. grrrrgrrrr

We have no idea how long he had been there, but it was a miracle he was still in the box and alive since it had no lid. :(:(

The poor piggy is in complete shock, I have yet to see him move, he just sits facing the corner. He must of moved during the night as some parsley is missing but that is all he has eaten. I dread to think what has happened to him. grrrrgrrrr

I can't understand why anyone would leave him like that, they would only have needed to call us and we would have taken him. :(

how awful and so sad - hope he can start feeling less stressed soon. Some people just don't have a clue.

Oh poor piggy, so senseless when he could easily have been handed over, no questions asked :(

I hope he perks up a bit soon and comes out of his shell

Oh that is ridiculous I'm sorry but there are rescue centres all over the place, there is NEVER the need to abandon a poor defenceless creature like that! I hope the piggy gets better soon and settles with the love and attention he deserves

That's awful - how can people do that to a defenseless animal? He's very lucky to have survived on the roadside in an open box, anything could have happened to the poor little thing. Hope he gets better soon x

Ohhh the poor little one, I'm so glad he's safe and warm, i hope he's well and settles in soon big hugs from my boys xxxxx

Poor little thing. At least he's safe now - give him a nice cozy to hide in and I'm sure he'll get braver soon.

poor boy, glad he's with you now. Is he ill? Just because i've noticed that when pigs are ill they face the corner of the cage. Do you have any laid back male piggies he could socialise with to make him feel better? Maybe he's better on his own if he's that bad. Hope he perks up soon x

Poor boy! People just abandoning helpless pets are really the bottom of the pit.

I understand that my Hafina, who was dumped in a cardboard box like him, was as badly traumatised at first. I hope that with your good care he will come round to learn to enjoy life and that he will hopefully will be able find that special loving home he so deserves. I am encouraged by the fact, that he IS eating.

All the best!

aw thats really sad, thank god a cat or fox didnt get him, or kids omg

Hope he comes out of his shell and finds a lovely new home x

Oh poor thing. Hopefully he will be ok. Have you given the little fella a name yet? xx

He's called Jerry Maguire :)):))

I don't think he's ill I think it's just shock/stress after what has happened to him. He has eaten some kale during the day, and there are some poo's so everything seems to be working. He will be off to the vets this week for a full health check, but at the moment I think it's more important for him to settle and calm down.

He is in quarentine at the moment so he will have to stay on his own for a few weeks, but hopefully after that he will be neutered and we will find him a nice calm home.

Thats so sad :(
Thank goodness he's getting the best possible care with you now, hope he settles in soon and finds some new piggy friends. Can we see some pigtures once hes settled?:(|)

He is much better this morning, he seems to have found the food bowl in the night and has nearly emptied it. The poor boy must have been starving.

Poor baby. Am pleased he seems to be perking up a bit and is eating. Hope he finds a wonderful new home when the time is right.

Some people are revolting at do not deserve the privilege of having animals...

I am very glad there are people like you out there to help. :)

Ah glad he's been eating. It may not feel very lucky being left in a box but he certainly is lucky now he's found you.

I had to get Jerry out to give him a good check over and clean his hutch out so I took a few photos, so you could see how handsome he is.
