my 1 and a half boar has a lump on one of its front foot.I'm not quite sure if its a cyst or abbcess. ages ago i noticxed on of his foot a toe lifted slightly, evry time i moved it he didnt seem to mind so i left it. now theres a lump on that foot near the still lifted toe. i think its been there some time so I'm not too worried about it though i do have a few questions:
do i need to take him to the vet?
will they remove it, treat it or leave it?
will it get bigger or sore?
thanksxx oh and also i found it out while cutting his nails. i cut one of them a bit too far and got the blood vessel, will he be ok?
xx

Any lump should be assessed by the vet- they may drain it or recommend removing it or monitoring it, depending on what kind of lump the vet feels it is most likely to be.

Cutting the quick of the nail should heal up just fine on it's own- just keep an eye for infection, but this has happened to my pigs a few times without any issues arising.
