Does any one in the area have a contact for looking after Guinea pigs when on holiday. Should I try local vets. I very much would like to have two sows but I am hesitant, my husband has recently retired and wd like the occasionally holiday abroad. We recently lost our two piggies which were adored, but holidays were a nightmare arranging.

I found a really good pet sitter from an advert in one of our local pet shops. It makes going away possible for me now.

Vet, pet shops and word of mouth are all good ways to find people to help. Good luck.

Glynneath Guinea Pig Rescue near Swansea do boarding. This would be a lovely place for you to find your sows too! You can find all their details on the Recue Locator on the green bar above.

Windwhistle Warren also offer guinea pig boarding. They were on the forum approved rescue list until they decided just to concentrate on the rabbit rescue side of things, but they still offer guinea pig boarding. They're near Gloucester - but on the Forest of Dean side of Gloucester.
