Out of my 6 piggys 2 of them are Abissian they are quite happy to be brushed except the rear, which is often wet. They struggle & scream, and when I give them a cuddle, they are VERY bitey. Should I carry on, as they can get bitey or don't stress them & just cut it, so they remain stress free & happy piggys.

If they are very wet around the rear have you had them health checked by a vet. None of my piggies particularly like their rears being stroked or brushed, not just the Abyssinians but they don't get bitey with it either, maybe kick me off but have never attempted to bite. I'm just thinking it sounds like they are in some form of discomfort and wet/messy rears also indicate something else is going on

This is 2 who like to sit in pee. We had to take the wooden bridge away from Molly because she was quite happy to lay under it, pooing & peeing. The other one sits under the water bottle, I've tried moving it but she always finds it. 2 naughty
Piggies but I love them.

Most guinea pigs don't like being groomed at the bum end or the belly.

Abys are short-haired guinea pigs. They should not be wet at the end and they do not need any hair cutting. If short-haired guinea pigs are often wet at the bum end, it is either a sign of a urinary tract infection (which needs to be seen by vet for antibiotic treatment) or insufficient bedding that forces them to sit in their own urine.

Please check our illustrated breeds guide to see whether your guinea pigs are really abyssinians and not a long-haired breed: https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk...ig-picture-guide-to-common-pet-breeds.121399/
