So my mom went to the back yard to exercise, but she touched my guniea pig's hay without washing hands. She used to cough much two days ago. Will it cause any problem? I really worried about it. I thought she would not touch hays. I did not clean the hay shelf though.

So far there is no evidence of Covid-19 being passed to pets

Has your mum got the virus?

If not. They hay will be fine, don’t worry
There are Corona virus patient who shows no other symptom, or the symptom is too little because of the immune system or something. It can be recovered by himself or herself, or it did not cause problem in his/her body.

I know there is just very little chance of guniea pigs getting this virus, but I really worried about it. I used to wash hands with soap and touched him.

I suffer anxiety on and off worrying over things, I'm not one bit scared my guinea pigs or rats will catch covid 19. Lady Kelly gave you a useful link above to read through

I have this anxiety because this is new. I have never done something like this before. I am an over-cautious person you know.

Yea, it's just humans at risk at the moment, and should stay that way. I've been out shopping for essentials the other day, came back and fed my Guinea pigs and realised I forgot to wash my hands. No problems.

I suddenly realized that my throat felt so dry. I think it might be due to the weather or something else, but I am too close to his water bottle. Will it cause problem?

I know that there is a lot of anxiety about at the moment but my honest opinion is that you need to let go of some of these worries and to focus on enjoying the time you have with your piggies
