Hi

I wonder if anyone could give me any advice, I'm thinking about getting a paypal account but not sure which one to choose, ie the bank account or debit/credit card.
I think it's because I don't understand how you would receive the money on a debit/credit card.

I know I'm thick.

Can anyone help.

Jaye.

Do you have a Debit card? or a standard current account from which allows you to use DD? If it's the latter any payments you make will take longer i.e. 7 days upwards! If you have a debit card you can set that up which is virtually instant. When receiving payments it's automatically done and your paypal account will show a debit into it's account, you can then draw that out when you are ready anbd that takes upto 5 days or so.

Setting up the account is easy, just follow the steps, if you need help PM me lol

I have mine set up for my bank account, but sometimes I change the option so that I pay by credit card if things are a little tough.

I've only ever received 1 incoming payment and that went to my bank account since that was how I had it set up.

i set a account last week to pay katrina for some stuff for piggies went onto paypal . uk and set on up dead easy used debit card maesto think took two days to come out of account well got email instantly to say be authorised . and katrina got one then 2 days later recieved email from them saying they have sent email to katrina saying to send stuff its clear dont know if katrina got another email its so easy used it thurs to gorgeous piggies for goods which came on the friday

I've got all my business set up for Paypal, so people can pay by it and I can refund by it and so on. There's a bit of protection for anyone using Paypal to pay me, which is good. I had one customer who had her paypal account ripped off and loads of money pinched, but she was able to go back through the system and show what was genuine and what wasn't. That was really helpful to her, she got her money back.

The only drawback to Paypal is that their service is also electronic, the telephone numbers for customer care are a joke and the first replies you get are always standardised even though they appear to come from people. So they have only fallen down in customer care, but their systems and personal protection are good.

Hope that helps, Sarah x

Hi

Thankyou all for your advice, I'm still unsure though how you get the money by debit/credit card.
