Its called a rosette and 10 for show standard I'm pretty sure , but ours has eight and ive heard six... :o :-\

ooh did someone mention abbys :smitten: :smitten: I love them! I have 3, but they are not upto 'show standards' 1 of mine has 6, the other just 4 and my last one has 2 (but she is a cross abby)

Poppy has 10 rosettes 4 around her bottom 4 over her back and one on each shoulder

she is a great girl but has an extra toe on her left back foot its quite high up and seems only attatched by a piece of skin, it doesnt seem to hurt her though

awww bless her! thats so cute! her coat could be show quality, but there are sooo many factors involved in showing, i dont think any 'normal' pig can qualify unless they are bred for pupose ;D

I got her from p@h at a reduced price no one wanted her! She must have been there for about 10 weeks every time I went in she was still there must have been the extra toe puttin' people off

That just means that your piggy is a mix between breeds. Possibly a ridgeback, but I'd have to see a pigture to know.LilTuff said:

A show Abby needs to have eight rosettes but ten are preferred but the rosettes have to be in the right places and like Kimmie says it depends on quite a few things in the show ring. Poppy is gorgeous. :smitten:
