Abyssinian sprouting very long hairs

This is Chico! When I got him from the animal shelter in July, he had scury and was basically skin and bones. Now that he is healthy again, I noticed he has these really long hairs sprouting that are twice the length of his usual hairs. Not really worried about it, but is this usual for Abyssinians?

Looks like he has a long furred gene in him I’ve seen abbys like this before. I usually call them squirrel butts

nothing to worry about. It’s just his unique breed

He is ver similar to our pig Pringle who has some long funky hairs coming out of his bum!
