I was taking Stripe out for cage cleaning and he was trying to wriggle out of the snuggle sack.

I put my hand in the way and he got his head out and I think my thumb pressed on his eye.

How long would it take to show an injury? Would it get cloudy?

On putting him back in the cage the eye looked fine.

I'm not sure, but am sending support ❤️🙏 It happens so easily 🙁 I hope he will be OK ❤️

Hi

Please take a deep breath.

If your boy could move his head even to a small degree, there is no risk of any lasting damage because you would have to exert a lot more force than you likely have. :tu:

Any cloudiness on the surface of the eye would only result if you had accidentally scratched the cornea of an open eye (which I assume was instinctively closed) with your fingernail and the scratch got infected. Please see a vet within 24 hours of noticing in that rather unlikely case.

Stripe will be asking Nettle to file for damages on his behalf 😉

Course, could be settled out of court with some of those yummy biscuits... ⚖️
