It's been 3 weeks today since I lost my little girl and I just wanted to post a tribute. I don't use the rabbit forum much and I know there are some of you here who know who Acorn is and followed the thread I made during her after spay problems.

Acorn was the most kind hearted little thing I have ever met, she was so friendly, so loving. She loved life, she loved anyone that would come up to her, she loved being petted and most of all, she loved peeing all over my bed!

We took her in for a spay one morning, all went fairly okay and we brought her home. Once we got her home, she didn't want to eat and completely refused anything. We tried everything possible and the vets even kept her for the day to syringe feed for us.

She passed away infront of my mum and I after Acorn woke me up early hours in the morning by moving around. We called the emergency vet, but unfortuntely she didn't even make it to the carrier.

Even 3 weeks later I still can't get over it, she was the first pet I had who gave me kisses and I miss them so much. She was my first bunny. She made me so much happier when I was down because she was always so happy and loving, she didn't deserve to go.

What a lovely tribute to your gorgeous girl, sorry you lost her so tragically. I work with rabbits at the rspca centre I volunteer at and it never ceases to amaze me as to what individuals they all are! Sending cyber hugs over the airwaves xx
 
Acorn had a life full of love, I'm so sorry she had to leave you

I am so sorry Abbie, she was truly beautiful. It is always so difficult to lose a much loved family member, they are such huge characters and you must have shared a lovely bond. Massive hugs x
